Georg & Lydia

In this film I treated the subject of creativity, about how a composer gets out of her own chains of having to high expectations on her music that has left her concert unfinished.

The film was shot in 2010 and starred Sven Wolter in the second lead role. In the story a deep friendship between the old experienced artist and the young prominent composer evolves where they both get in touch with their curage of going through with a difficult task. Wollter told me he had agreed to come to my film because he was amazed to read lines that seem to have come out of his own mouth. As in the story, I to got a friend for life during the work with him.

Who Stands Up for Alvar – Feature film

Who Stands Up for Alvar" is born from a deeply personal place. It is inspired by the quiet heroes of everyday life—the caregivers, single parents, and the elderly—who often go unnoticed and unappreciated in a society obsessed with efficiency and output. This story stems from the frustration of witnessing systemic neglect and the heartbreaking ripple effects it has on individuals and families. It is also a love letter to resilience, humour, and the human spirit’s ability to fight back against insurmountable odds.

Who stands up for Alvar

In partnership with researchers from Lund University, University of Gothenburg, and Södertörn University, Tottemo Production created the short film Who Stands Up for Alvar (2024), based on real-life case studies on moral stress in eldercare. The film has been screened in municipalities, universities and public forums across Sweden and Europe, initiating vital conversations between care workers, policy makers, and students. Drakar – Short film

Drakar is not a story about remembering trauma—it’s about surviving it through transformation. Irina’s dragons are not metaphors; they are survival tactics, visual weapons, emotional mutations. As a filmmaker, I am drawn to characters who rebuild their worlds from the debris of silence. This is a story about a woman who refuses to be defined by what was done to her—but instead by what she creates.
